OVERNIGHT SNORKLING TRIP AT SATAYA DOLPHIN REEF

Swim with dolphins and explore the habitats of other underwater sea creatures in this two-day trip to Sataya Reef from Marsa Alam with Egypt Plus Voyage. During the safari boat ride, you can swim, snorkel, with all of Sataya’s sea animals. Shaab Sataya is the biggest reef of the Red Sea with a length of 45 km. Boats starting from Hamata Marine will reach the spot within two hours. In depths between 5 and 40 meter you will enjoy the hard and soft coral fields inhabited by a variety of fish you hardly find anywhere else! The Napoleon wrasse is a common visitor, curious dolphins are approaching the groups of Snorkelers and along the drop off you might even spot barracudas or sharks. Itinerary:

First day:

Our overnight trip to Sataya Dolphin house is starting from the marina in Hamata. The small village is located about 100 km south of Marsa Alam. From its harbor daily boats and safari trips head towards the stunning reefs of the Southern Red Sea.In the morning we will pick you up by the representative of Egypt Plus Voyage from your hotel and drive to Hamata in air conditioned minibuses. The transfer time will be around two hours – depending on the location of your hotel. As soon as you arrive on board, you will get a short introduction while having soft drinks in the saloon. Choose your rooms and make yourself comfortable on our vessel, while we are already on our way to Sataya. After having a relaxing two hours ride we will arrive to our destination. A quick briefing will prepare you for your first snorkeling stop. You have enough time to discover the coral reef of Shaab Sataya from the surface before you will do your second snorkeling stop,you will watch the sun set with the delicious food prepared by our chief on the boat. Don’t miss the most impressive view from the high deck – watching the stars and moon. Light Egyptian music and our hand made Bedouin coffee called gapana are completing the atmosphere.

Second day:

Early in the morning of the second day we will take you to another place . The best chance to spot dolphins and rays while snorkeling will be during that time.When we had our breakfast the boat moves to Abo Galawa for your last snorkeling stop during our trip. The most beautiful coral reef wants to be discovered. On the one hand you might be lucky to observe sharks, on the other hand there is a 50-year-old shipwreck to be rediscovered. You will find yourself in the middle of thousands of glass fish once you are close to the wreck.Only lunch and a small break are left before we start our trip back to the harbor. The minibus takes you back to your hotel in time to take the dinner.
